Port Lincoln is home to the largest commercial fishing fleet in the southern hemisphere, and as such is a culinary tourist’s dream. It’s also a fisherman’s dream, an animal-lover’s dream, and an Instagram lover’s dream. With award-winning restaurants, the ability to experience the food journey from product to plate (or sea to plate, as it may be) and good local wine, it’s definitely a great place to eat. It’s also a good place to take a tour – swim with sea lions? Tuna? Cage dive with sharks? Whatever takes your fancy, Port Lincoln has it.

Grampians National Park is a nature reserve in Victoria, Australia. It’s known for its sandstone mountains, wildflowers and wildlife including echidnas and wallabies. Near the village of Halls Gap, the Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre gives insight into local Aboriginal history and rock art. Trails lead to waterfalls like towering MacKenzie Falls and lookouts such as the Balconies, with views of the Victoria Range.

Uluru, or Ayers Rock, is a massive sandstone monolith in the heart of the Northern Territory’s arid "Red Centre". The nearest large town is Alice Springs, 450km away. Uluru is sacred to indigenous Australians and is thought to have started forming around 550 million years ago. It’s within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, which also includes the 36 red-rock domes of the Kata Tjuta (colloquially “The Olgas”) formation.
